First Time Owning A Boar.

i have a little boar that is a week old today ill be keeping him and its my first time owning a boar I have experience with sows so is there anything different in terms of care that he needs? or is it pretty much the same as a sow? sorry if this is a stupid question but never owned a boy before.

I'm sorry but did you say your boy is only 1 WEEK old? If so he shouldn't have even been weaned from his mum yet :/ if he's that young you may have some extra care on your hands to make sure he's getting the nutrients he would be getting from mums milk

As far as I know the boar was born from one of her sows, so will likely still be in with her until the 3 week cutoff.

yes his still with mummy he was born to my rescue sow who I got and she was already pregnant. he was only boar born. along with a sister so he will be removed from mummy at 3 weeks old x
