Hello All :)

I'm taking my girls to the vet for the first time this week for a nail trim and health check, is there anything I can do to make it less stressful for them? I'm so scared that they are going to just freak out and have a heart attack or something!

Make sure they have plenty of hay in their carrier so they can hide if they want to. Also, a bit of veg can sometimes distract them.

I usually take a towel with me too so I can drape it over the carrier if it's a bit loud or draughty.

Also, if you go to a vet that has lots of dogs barking in the waiting room it's okay to ask to either be taken into a quieter waiting area or be allowed to wait outside/in your car.

Hi! Please give your girls time to play in the carrier in the days before so that they have good associations with it. Put a little (soft, not stalky!) hay in with them, but not too much so they can't overheat.
