Today was the first time I could try the girls and Colby out on the grass together. I was worried about getting them all into the travel carrier together in case Lara kicked off again but after having to spend half an hour chasing them round the corrall to get them in the box, everything was fine. I am sure they do that on purpose to see me run around:-)

Colby was a little hesitant being in a new strange place but once all the girls had got out the box he stood looking lost. It was only when Lara came back round to the front of the box he followed her out.

When I want out into the garden to brush their fleece down before putting it in the wash, Colby came shooting out of the box and stood looking expectantly at me. Not sure what he is expecting, maybe he used to get fed when he was out in the run. My girls usually hide away when I go out so it was pleasantly unexpected. He did it to my mother too, who sat chatting to him for 20 minutes.

Cutest thing I have seen so far was when I looked out to check on them to find Colby standing guard over a sleeping Melody. I'm so pleased as it was Mel I particularly wanted him to bond with as she always seems to be on her own.

Its been a long, and sometimes very stressful, week introducing Colby and worrying how they were going to get on, but it looks like it has been a complete success and I couldn't be happier.
