so far I've had the piggies on wood shavings covered with hay but having read about it I'm thinking it might not be the best and Id like to change. I've been reading about Fitch - is it any good? What is the best bedding? Fleece isn't an option, they have it in their playpen but I don't have the time to poo pick and wash it every day really...
 
fitch is brilliant. i use it in the trays and sometimes in half/all the cage if i haven't managed to dry the fleece things in time! it's very soft and absorbent. and a bonus at this time of year is that it looks like snow! :))
 
Do you still put hay on top? I buy big bags of meadow hay from hay for pets and they love having loads to leap about in and burrow into!
 
I used Fitch before I swapped to fleece and I really recommend it! It looks nice, it's absorbent and I never noticed any smells at all. plus it's easy to clean out :)
 
I love Fitch I just can't get it with my work hours so I tend to use ecobale and Megazorb as I can get the seat a country store

Not sure if this helps but I'm pretty sure you can select the day they deliver it so you could pick a day you're off maybe.

I didn't know they let you pick now but I work 5/6 days a week and so does my partner so any deliveries are a total nightmare :(
