flaked pea amounts

hi people

i keep giving my two flaked peas they love it but i think I'm giving them too many....

how much should they have of flaked peas per day. i feed them as hand treats but i do give them a lot x

i got some for the boys to try, but they don't seem too bothered on them. maybe after a while they will get used to them?

Two of mine go crazy for them, the other 3 don't bother. I read somewhere that they can be fattening (or maybe that applies to gerbils :{ ) so mine only get a few at a time. I do love to listen to them crunching them though

Flaked peas can be fattening, but the amount you can give of anything but hay depends on your pigs! If they are chunky and gaining weight, maybe give cucumber for a treat instead. If they are normal or slim, flaked peas are great!
