About a month ago, we noticed that two of our pigs had a balding and flaky patch on their backs. One of the pigs was a boy and the other was his mum and they live completely separate from each other. None of the other pigs that were in with the mum had it and the other boar with the boy didn't have it either. We took them to the vets and she looked at their fur under a microscope but said it wasn't mites (which was what we thought). She gave them some mite treatment anyway and it did die down a bit until we noticed it again today. This time the mum, one of the other guinea pigs that lives with her has it too. The boy doesn't have it this time and we were wondering what it could be as it isn't mites. it's not itchy or sore as they don't mind us brushing them.
Thanks!

It could be a fungal issue? My two have ringworm, which is fungal and they have bald flakey patches. Might be worth going back to the vets if they get worse :) I am by no means an expert though, it's just a suggestion :) x
