So I was holding midnight today and I noticed white spots on her. Furthering my investigation I noticed they were fleas! How do I get rid of them? I gave them a bath last week so I don't know if I can give them another one and is there another special shampoo I use to keep them away?

Are you sure it's not lice? Lice are white. You can buy a spot on treatment from the shop or a special bath with a lice shampoo. I think if I remember correctly I used spot on as 1% ivermectin is not needed at that high a dose for lice.

Hi, there are no species specific fleas for guinea pigs so whilst fleas can jump from other animals they cannot feed on/survive on piggies. There are two common parasites for piggies and these are mites and lice. Mites are usually too small to be seen by the naked eye but often egg casings can be seen near the rear end of the piggy. Lice can be seen if you look carefully and you can see them moving too. Most shelf products in a shop are not strong enough to completely resolve an infestation so I would recommend a vets visit for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment at the right strength to deal with the issue as quickly as possible

I actually looked it up and it definitely looks like lice! I don't know how to take care of them tho? Can you guys help me?

You need to take them to the vet so that they can diagnose correctly and give an appropriate strength product to get rid of the lice

OK I was kinda afraid of that! I will call today and see when I can get both of them in.
