fleas

Hi all
Can anyone help!?
I have just moved into a new flat last week and it looks like we have a flea infestation (only a small one mind) and i have been treating furniture and carpets myself.
Can the pigs get them? i have been checking and so far so good! I was told that fleas cant live on pigs but everyone on here are the best people to ask that! =)
Any help would be grand

Congratulations on your new flat...but sorry that there's a flea problem there!

I have heard conflicting views on whether guinea pigs can get fleas too. The consensus I get on it is that it is possible, but quite unlikely.
