Hi can anyone offer me any advice. I have my first pair of indoor piggies and a hutch that it large but i have had to split in two due to fighting =(. However i can see that one of my guys is bored and i want to give him something to do (both of them do have the full run of my bedroom for a couple of hours each every day) . I have figured out a way to build them both a second level in the cage for something more interesting to do, however i need to make them a ramp to get up there. Will they climb up there or would it be a waste of time? Both of them are pretty adventurous and will clamber across all my belongings ie shoes that i leave on the floor!
If i do build them the second level i cant put woodshavings or hay up there as they'll throw it all over the floor, i have seen lots written about fleece on here. Can any one recommend what sort of fleece to use and where i could get it from?
Any help would be great thanks!

Also some one told me to put sandpaper down in the cage in a small corner for their nails, is this a good idea or could it hurt their feet?

My piggies live on fleece all the time so they don't get to wear their nails down. I have a pair of clippers that I use to trim them every so often.

I got my fleeces from IKEA. They were only £1.59 each. I have Nero 4's so I fold the fleeces in half and tuck the ends under. I've been using the same four for a while now and they are still OK.

It depends on your piggies, but most get used to a ramp either by themselves or with a bit of bribery. My hutches & indoor cages have extra levels & mine use their ramps with no problems :)

You can buy fleece from anywhere, ebay, asda, tesco etc - I have normal anti-pill fleece blankets from asda & also vetbed but you can use polar fleece.

The sandpaper i wouldn't use, this i'd imagine would hurt their feet & you can clip their nails yourself with nail clippers :)
