Fleece bedding

Hi all, happy Sunday!
I have a quick question about fleece bedding. I've always used them, but all of a sudden I notice it has stopped absorbing wee, whenever my guinea pig pees, there would be a puddle. Any ideas why it would just stop working properly? Thanks!

Has it accidentally been washed with fabric conditioner at all? That can stop it wicking.

It may have a build up of the washing detergent. Try a hot wash with white vinegar and no detergent.

No, I've only used detergent. Maybe I've been using too much and this new detergent is more concentrated. Okay, thanks. I'll give it a try on my next wash. Thanks again!

It worked! I didn't use detergent and used hot water to wash and I don't see any puddle on top of fleece. Thank you so much!
