I cannot seem much information about the thickness/ease of sewing of fleece cage liners. From my research and based on materials I have ordered/bought, my understanding is you do 1 layer of fleece, 2 layers of uhaul pad, and a final layer of fleece. So:

--Fleece--
~~Uhaul Pad~~
~~Uhaul Pad~~
--Fleece--

Although my uhaul pads do not arrive until tomorrow, this seems incredibly thick. I purchased heavy thread and a denim needle for my machine, and the woman at the fabric store said I need to go very very slowly. She also said to expect the thread to break multiple times.

Try as I might, I cannot find people with similar concerns talking about it on the internet. I am of modest sewing skills, and I want to know if I should prepare for a fight with the liner.

How are these to sew?

Thanks! :D
