. All that remains now then is to pick the right moment to broach the subject of the piggy room refurb and new cage to my husband 
It’s fair to say I’ve had more practice at that than asking permission! He’d probably appreciate me ‘asking’ for once (when it comes to piggy stuff)In this instance it's definitely better to ask forgiveness than permission......
What you could do is - change things bit by bit. hahaha. i would change the fleece liner first - say it's easier to put in the washing machine... then so on hahahaOh I didn’t realise that was possible! I’m impressed
