As forum members may know from my other posts, I've recently lost one of my three guinea pigs and another one is battling various health problems.

If we end up with a solitary piggie remaining I will look to bond them with another companion from our local rescue, but obviously there'll be some transitional time where they're on their own- hopefully days rather than weeks, but still...

Anyway I've seen some people recommend putting a toy guinea pig in the cage for a single pig, but where can I get one that's chew-safe? I'm drawing a blank. Failing that are there any other toys or cuddly items made of safe fleece that people would recommend?

I’ve never given mine a toy but do use fleece houses which the piggies love to snuggle up in.
Have you tried Etsy ?

Whilst not fleece, these baby-safe plush toys are great!

When Squeak crossed the rainbow bridge I got one to keep Bubble company, until his friend Truffle came to live with us. Bubble used to give it kisses and carry it around the cage, bless him.
When Truffle hit his teens I got another one as a distraction to stop him hassling Bubble so much. Truffle loves his girlfriend "Gerty" so much, that I had to get another one, so that one could still be in their cage whilst the other was in the wash! He tosses her around the cage until she is where he wants her to be! It's really funny when Bubble has had enough of Truffle's shenanigans with Gerty, he props her up in the corner of the cage or in a tunnel so that Truffle can't get at her for a while!

I forgot to mention, that if you do get one of these that whilst the beige and white one (which we have), has embroidered "safe eyes", please be aware that there is a black and white version which has plastic eyes.....especially if your piggies like to chew!
