Ive been using fleece liners for a year now and while they are great I am having to split my herd up into pairs due to extreme barbering behavior. This means two 4x2 C&C cages but I am going to do a stacked cage. This means I need to invest in more liners but I find the expense is going to be a bit high Ive seen people using bath towels underneath fleece and I am wondering how well this works? Beside being cost effective as I know it gets alot of mixed opinions on it! I can't sew at all so it would have to be layered polar fleece over something absorbant underneath.

Any tips or ideas of what I can use would be appreicated

Towels can cause more smell as they don’t tend to dry all that quickly. It can be better to use washable puppy/human incontinence pass underneath

That is fine, I did think of bobble mats on top of these instead maybe? Ive seen people use them instead of liners

I use human incontinence pads for beds under my fleece - they’re great easy to wash and last for ages
I use 2 full ones and 1 half one my 5x2 c&c so 2 would be ok for you - I’ve had mine for about 4 years
No smell ever

My mum said she has some spare from temu would those still work okay? Same size so hopefully should fit
Wow that’s great and saves you money !
I’m sure they would do perfectly and they wash at 60C too !
Mine are pink ones but the boys don’t mind …they like anything 😂
