I only use Guinea dad fleeces now. I'm wondering how often I should change them really. I have been changing a few 5x2 cages once a week always on a Saturday. Is it better to switch our fleeces out more frequently? Mine do give off an odor by the end of the week. I just ordered more 4x2 Guinea pig fleeces off Amazon us because I feel like I ought to change them out more often. I don’t know if even a hint of the odors are bad for them be it respiratory or whatever. I vacuum them all out thoroughly 2x a day with a 4 gallon Stanley shop vacuum too. The fleece the corners the pockets everything.

It depends how wet they are getting and how much they are smelling. I don’t know much about guineadad liners but generally fleece can need to be changed anywhere every 3-5 days.

I've changed from weekly full change outs to every 5th day. It's much better.

Using pee pads in the main pee areas and changing those every day or so will help keep the smells down.

I've never really got on with guinea dad fleece liners- they seem to get wet with pee fast, take ages to dry after washing, and retain odours, much more than any other piggy fleece we've tried, even cheap ones.
Fresh pee odours dont bother piggies, but damp fleece will cause paw problems, and lingering smells after washing suggest bacterial build up.
We always change our floor fleeces twice a week, and have small fleecy pee pads under hidey houses that are changed daily or every 2 days. Depends on the space and number of pigs of course, how they use the space, but there should always be completely dry fresh fleece areas to sleep on, even if there are occasional damp aromatic patches in a favourite toilet corner- wet feet can easily get sore with urine scald, and lead to pododermatitis/bumblefoot sores which are quite hard to treat.
