Hello all

I have had my custom made fleece liners from Ziggies for almost four years now and I notice that unless I use puppy pads on top of them for four days they get wet very quickly. Even after three days the puppy pads under the fleece has large patches of wet.

I know the herd are no longer youngsters so maybe they are sitting around more?

I am wondering if the liners are starting to lose their absorbency. I really don’t want the piggies laying on damp fleece liners

it might be a good idea to purchase some new ones. You can try buying a different absorbent materiel like Uhal pads( put them under your feeece). I heard people recommend those. I use old towels underneath and it keeps the piggies dry, but if the pads are getting the piggies wet then that might not work.

That site has some info on the materiel of Uhal pads.
Is yoor cage only fleece or just in the spots they mostly urinate?

I use fleece pee pads in the corners where they sit and wee the most and under hideys. I change them every 2 or 3 days as needed, this saves changing the whole cage so often.

Its good that the puppy pads under the fleece are wet, as it means the wet is wicking through the fleece like it should.
It shouldn't be too wet on the top though.
