Hello all! I've 2 sets of piggies in 2x5 cages, I've only been using 2x3 fleece with bathmats to fill the end bits - I was wondering how everyone else layers their fleece?

I'm planning to get one thin 2x5 fleece for the bottom and then some fleece pee pads across the cage - or small bath mat (no clue where I can get those though)
I love to see how everyone sets their cage up! <3
Pic of flat pepper for funs :D

Hello how lovely all those piggies 🥰
I have a 2x5 c&c for Geoff and Freddy.
I had some 2x5 fleece liners but they were very difficult for my washing to cope with ( couldn’t spin them properly) so I don’t use them - I’d get 2x2 to fill in the ends.
I actually use washable puppy pads and use pee pads and small mats on top - I clean half of my 2x5 each day so that the piggies still have their smell there. I’ve been doing this for a few years now.
It works really well with hideys and a carrot cottage and 2 hay piles.
Excuse the mermaid in photo 2 she was just visiting 😂

Hi!
We use fleece too. Big fleece pads as the bottom layer, then mini pads under houses/tunnels etc that can be swapped out as needed (often daily) and big hay piles on noodle bathmats.
The bigger pads get changed once a week, more if they get wet sooner.
As Rosalina says I would also recommend sticking with smaller pads. Rather than going to big, we have one 2x4 CC size the washing machine hates it. Mostly we use 2x3 and 2x2 CC size for the base pads.

This is our current semi permanent floor time set up, it’s very mix annd match jigsaw style with the pads & we never manage matching!

Our boys live as neighbours.

I have a 5 x 2 c and c cage for my two sows. Cable ties not those plastic push on things, so a bit under the usual 5 x 2 size.

I use a 3 x 2 liner and a 2 x 2 liner (both fleece zorb fleece) and change them every two or three days.

I also have a 32 litre underbed storage box one end of the cage full of shavings and timothy hay also two small litter trays with shavings and hay and a large magazine rack for them to eat hay from.

Love the pic of flat Pepper!
