We are purchasing our piggies on Wednesday and I have already bought some wood shaving/sawdust and hay but now I've been reading about using fleeces.

I'm slight confused how to set this up in the cage, do I put in a towel, then newspaper and fleece on top?

I'm going to use the sawdust I bought otherwise waste of money and then move onto fleeces. How often would I need to change the fleece, newspaper, towels etc if I went down this route?

Sorry I hope that made sense :)

I put in a layer of newspaper and then a fleece or two (depending on how many I have clean! ) Some people put towels under as well. It depends how big the cage is and how messy your pigs are really as to how often you'd need to change. I do a complete clean once a week, and a couple of sweep-ups during the week. If you have a smaller cage it may need changing more often, a bigger cage may last even longer between cleans as there are more places to wee :)

You may be really lucky and have piggies that only go in a litter tray!

I used fleece for a short while, I used to put newspaper and then fleece on top. I found it really messy and was sweeping poop all the time.

I am using Easibed now which is like shavings but less dusty.

I use wood shavings in my hay tray underneath the hay; without that, the hay turns sludgy and smelly very quickly.
