Flee's and guinea pig's

Just a quick question, my OH is going to his mums later and her cats currently have flee's which she is treating them for, no doubt OH will want to give them some cuddles, will they transmit to the piggies?

i dont think so, i was under the impression piggies didnt get fleas? i might be wrong though.

Fleas like other insect parasites are species specific. They simply starve to death on another species. There is no flea that is specific to guinea pigs.

However, it never hurts to practice good hygiene.
