hi everyone i noticed on david at the beginning of this week he had something 'stuck' just under his nose in the little groove that goes down to his mouth. I tried to inspect it and he was riggling like mad so i just thought it was something stuck to him.

However, i felt bad this week but been working till 9 everynight and then doing my uni work so i avnt been able to spend time wiht the pigs. Iv just had him out this morning and its still there. iv just tried to look at it properly but he wont let me, however it wont come off and looks like a small little lump it looks like when we get a skin tac if anyone knows what they are.

I'm a bit paniced now as i am going on holiday tomorrow nad the pigs are going to a boarding hotel so I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to do anything about it.

I know a pic would help but he wont let me anywere near it.

Can anyone offer me some help.

Cheers x

I'm not at all sure what that could be, sorry. I think guineas can get harmless skin flaps but I don't know if the nostril is a common place.

By the amount of replies you have had it doesn't appear to be a very common problem! Where are they staying while you are away, could you contact them to ask how it is next week?

Am sorry I can't be of any help, am still learning myself. Is there anything on Guinea Lynx? Have a nice holiday.

is it only tiny and looks a little like a spot?Mac had something similar not so long ago,i kept thinking it was dirt/hay stuck and pulled it off!well it came off and hasnt come back

it looks like a little flap of skin its skin coloured like our skin though and davids dark coloured. its still there its actually near the end of his nose just under x

Sorry Nic, without a picture I couldn't suggest anything. Worth asking the petsitter to monitor it but from the sounds of it, it's not problematic.
