Hello everyone!

I’ve found out that next year I may need to move across the ocean to America, I’ve been viewing options on how/ if I should bring my 3 girls with me but there’s a lot of mixed opinions around the topic of guinea pigs flying, they’re still young I would say- turning 2 years old within a month. If possible I would like to bring them with me - as would anyone- but I do recognise how it could be stressful for them. I will be speaking with my vet at some point to get their opinion on it too but I just want to know some more information as I am really stuck. The move would be from England to Florida and it would be a permanent move. Does anyone have any experience flying with guinea pigs or airlines? What are your opinions on this?
(Here are the cheeky )

I don’t have an answer to this but we do have a section in the Guinea Care collection of threads which, I think, has some information about travelling with Guinea pigs.
I can’t remember who has transported their piggies to another country and who may have some advice.
I will try to track down someone

Traveling internationally with piggies is a question which pops up from time to time but not often. Unfortunately though the threads are either never updated so we aren’t provided with any information or experiences; or the outcome is that it has become very difficult and expensive to travel with them.
The guide is over 10 years old now so some parts may no longer be relevant.

I hope you can find a way to be able to take them with you

Hi

I have withdrawn the guide from public view because the advice is outdated and does not longer comply with current practice and safety measures.

We get enquiries every now and then but usually no feedback whatsoever so my assumption is that it is either no longer affordable or practical to fly with guinea pigs, sadly.
