Hi everybody,
just wondered if anybody can help me, all my girl piggies get on great together so I wanted to let then have the shed rather then have them in cages. I was going to build a large outside run comng off the door of the shed. Only thing is my garden is paved. I don't want them running about on paving so can I use something to cover the floor? I want something that is safe but clean.

I have outdoor runs and after trying a few different things, wood shavings, straw, hay, I just decided to leave the run on the bare concrete. They don't seem to mind and it's good for wearing down their nails. It's also easy to clean, just sweep it out, and the rain washes away any stains that are left on it when it rains. And it saves money because there's no bedding to have to keep changing. On hot days they can lie on the concrete (in the shade) to cool down, and they don't seem to mind if it's slightly wet (it'd be dryer than a lot of flooring because it doesn't soak up the water and dries out faster). And you could always put a roof or piece of plastic over the top of the run if it was raining.

I would leave at least some of the paving; it helps wearing down their nails.
