Floor Time Gate With Lid? Ideas?

My piggies currently go in their small cage at night, and have floor time during the day. We have a big cumbersome gate that is a pain to get out and put away (but allows 8 to 16 square feet of space, depending on how we fold it).


We have cats and dogs, so we have to make sure to keep the bedroom door closed. It would be nice to not worry about accidently leaving the door open.

I'd like to get a cage with a lid, no bottom, with a minimum of 8-12 square feet, that could easily be folded up. Am I dreaming, or is there something like this? I googled some c and c cage ideas, but didn't find anything.

Even if I can't find something with a lid, just something that is easily collapsible would be great! Any ideas? Are c&c cages/lids sturdy without attaching them to a base?

I've never personally had one of these, but the reviews are good and the run looks brilliant. People have said it's easy to set up and collapse (it comes with a bag to store it in, too), easy to clean, comes with a water bottle holder, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It has a protective net on top which should keep your cats and dogs out of the run, hence its safety for use outside.

I've seen some like that one at Petsmart here in Canada but I'm not sure if they had tops. Petland also had something similar but smaller and probably a huge rip-off as it's Petland ;)
