Hi All,

As promised here are some snaps of Flora. As many of you know we lost her on Friday due to heart failure. She was only 2. She had almost 2 good years with us though. So thought I would post these snaps up as a positive thing to do, in celebration of her life with us. :)

wow they looked really nice as a group all different colours reminds me of a rainbow:) it sounds like she really did have a good life, nice to see she had so many piggy friends x

She was always very friendly to the newcomers. She was good friends with Pearl and then Kitty. Kitty even kissed her as Peter took her out of the cage when she had passed over. The herd seem ok, no weight loss. Unlike when we lost Pearl all of them lost weight! Funny how they know when something is wrong.

I think Fleur has coped brilliantly with the loss and has just got on with being a foster mummy to Amber and Kitty. x

always the worst thing when a piggy that great passes over:(but I'm sure she new how much her family loved her,its so sweet to see piggy relationships so strong, but hurts all the more when one passes and the other is left heartbroken,I'm glad they are handling it ok xxxxxx

You have some gorgeous photos there as a reminder of her and Pearl too! She was a sweetheart and I know she will be sadly missed x

Goodness, was it way back in February you lost Pearl? It only seems like yesterday. Flora was a stunner, I can just see her and Pearl sat together over the Bridge, smiling and posing. Bless them.

Yep Feb 19th it was, during half term as we had no sleep that night, thank God the kids were off school.

Yeah they will be together now and Elora as well. She wasn't with them long but fitted right in with the group. That's three from that group lost which I think is odd but just one of those things. Dad said don't replace Flora, I couldn't. People without pigs don't realise you can't replace them as they are all different!

Very true. I miss my Tuppy's attitude the most. Won't ever find a pig so pretty with so much spunk and attitude, she also knew exactly when the camera was pointed at her and would strike a pose especially!

I love when we have group photos of our past piggies...you can just picture them all sat the same way at the Bridge, together again. It is something of a comfort - nothing worse than feeling, with your first loss, that the pig is "alone".

Oh I know when we lost Cuzzy it was horrible, crying over a guinea pig I thought I was ridiculous. I kept saying he was just a guinea pig! Nothing could prepare you for the grief. I must admit to not getting that upset like I did over Cuzzy but there is still a huge sense of loss and injustice especially when they go so young.

It's also nice to have them close, Cuzzy was cremeted, I regret that but I didn't want to deal with it having nursed him for so long when he was ill. We had a special bond. I should post his snaps up again he was a stunning Sheltie!

I am so sorry about Flora and the others of that lovely group I never had the change to meet on the board.

With those wonderful pics you'll have some precious memories left. Perhaps it is time to make a little album to commemorate a special era? Taking out my albums is something that never fails to comfort me when I'm ill or really down, even though I miss them still a lot!

I was thinking of doing that, just on facebook though so I have them all in one place. I need to sort my photobucket account so many photos there. I have more of Flora but couldn't find them yesterday as I've over 40 pages now! lol

That will take some major sorting then...

It's amazing how pics accumulate! My hubby complains regularly about mine.
