Unfortunately my darling Florence has passed away suddenly. Today was her and her sisters birthdays, they were 1 but Florence won't see past that. Lola is heartbroken and we're devastated at what has happened. Lola is getting lots of fuss and cuddles, luckily we have Archie who was meant to bond with both girls next Thursday, he also seems upset but hopefully they'll bond well. Both aren't eating at the moment, they're in separate snuggle sacks on my lap and are both just hunkered down, Lola was making tiny crying noises earlier. I let Lola see Florence while she was still breathing but didn't let her see the body as we'd rushed to the vets but I think she knows what's happened. I've read the sticky but I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to keep both piggies comfortable at this time. Archie is only 5 weeks post neuter so can't go in with Lola yet. I was also wondering if they'll be okay soon, I read that they usually feel better in a few days. Below is a picture of our beautiful Florence, the pig that started it all. When I saw a picture of her, I knew I had to have her and her best friend <3

So sorry for your loss.
It’s so hard when it comes out of the blue line that.
A bereaved piggy will usually get on with the business of surviving after a day or two.
I lost my Keziah 2 weeks ago and her cagemates were very subdued for a couple of days before beginning to perk up again.
When Archie and Lola can safely live together that will help them both too.
It’s great that you are considering your piggies’ needs at a time when you are grieving.
Please don’t forget to look after yourself as well.
