So, here I am again, posting another thread here :(
Just yesterday, Florrie and Inca were out for floortime and I gave them each a check over. If you haven't seen my previous thread, Inca has/had mites. Florrie and Inca were treated last Wednesday and again earlier this morning to kill the mites. I was handling Florrie, just to check she hadn't lost any hair if she had caught Inca's mites. It was then that I noticed a lump on the left side of Florrie's lower back. She is an Abyssinian X so she only has 6 rosettes, 2 of which are on her lower back. I parted the hair next to the rosette with my fingers and checked for any hair loss - none what so ever, but when doing so, I felt a small lump beneath the skin.

I mentioned this to my vet this morning and he took a look at it and told me to keep a close eye on it and to book an appointment if it grew any larger. The lump itself does move and there isn't much indication that it is there, until you actually feel for it. He said that if it did grow bigger, they may have to remove it, but of course this wouldn't be without risks especially the anesthetic.

Puzzle has always had a small sort of warty lump on her foot, which has been checked many times by the vet and has never caused any problems. I was just wondering if anybody has had a piggy with a lump like this or has any advice? I thought it might be as well that I did some research online, just in case it gets worse.

I am sorry to hear this. One of my piggies had a lump on her back that was drained. It was fat.

I think they are quite prone to fatty lumps & things, and often they are left unless they become a problem. My friends pig has a lump he's always had and he's 4, its never grown & they're not worried.

Just watch it doesn't get bigger xx

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I'm so sorry to hear about florries lump, no advice but lots of well wishes xxxxx
