Rochester Piggy
Teenage Guinea Pig
I was wondering if there is a vaccine for fly strike. If so, I would definitely get it for Cali! Is there one?
As above. Hygiene and good health is the key. I did once use a fly repellent spray on my rabbits as it is potent and flies avoid it but I wouldn't try it on pigs.
In Franks outdoor hutch I greatly minimise flies by securely fixing fine insect net on the front and sealing all other gaps but flies are persistent and can't be underestimated.
You can get a sponge on fly strike thing from the vets which is usually given for rabbits if that helps?
It's Rearguard that is applied with a sponge but I don't think it can be used on Piggies.
