F.M.L! I've got one guinea pig knocking on deaths door and if he shows no improvement in the next few days (hes on baytril) then it really may be kinder to put him to rest. and now to top it off humphrey has decided he hates rocky and wants to remove his head!.

With all this potential heartbreak and fighting I'm slowly loosing the will to own guineas 8...8...

Your boys really are a handful aren't they :(. I hope Piglet starts to show some improvements soon, it must be heartbreaking for you :(
Is Rocky OK? Hopefully they will sort things out (non-violently)...Maybe you should get sows next time :)).

dunno but on closer inspection humphrey has snapped both his front top teeth off so now i have to help him eat!
 
Oh my god you poor thing. This is terrible. How on earth did his teeth come off?
 
can he not eat?

If not your best to hand feed him pellet's he should still be able to use his back teeth.
 
update on piglet he's is going to the vet on thursday and if there is nothing that can be done then we will put him to rest
 
Sorry to hear Piglet is not improving, you are having a tough time of it at the moment. Hope Humphrey's teeth are ok.
 
well its 11:55 am piglet shows no improvement :(... i think hes given up 8...
humprey can eat perfectly fine if we break up the pellets for him he ate quite a bit when we were asleep so now its just making sure his bottom teeth dont grow too long in the few weeks it takes for his teeth to grow back

With Humphrey you can also chop up long strips of veg (carrots, cucumber, peppers) that makes it a little easier for them to slurp up also.
