New Born Pup
Hello! I'm starting out Guinea Pig ownership fairly unprepared but plenty enthusiastic! I picked Squidge up from a Lady who didn't take good care of him. I couldn't stand to leave him in a bad situation, so I took him in. He is a bit skittish around me, but begins to relax when I hold him.
Based on the suggestions from forum members, I will ordering a C&C cage and using fleece bedding as soon as my paycheck comes in. Within a week or two, Squidge should be all set up! At that point, I will decide if another boar or a sow is the best option as a companion for him and make arrangements.
He has a pretty basic (and too small :/) set up at the moment, and I can't wait to get him set up with better accommodation so he will be as comfortable as possible.
He is very much enjoying his veggies and outside-time (in the early morning when it's not deathly hot). Since he absolutely loves running around (especially outside), I think I'll build him a large play pen in the yard that he can have fun in and explore.
This will just be a thread for updates and pictures on Squidge and how things progress!

Awww Squidge, so lovely to see him. I remember your thread from yesterday. I am sure he is going to have a great life with you. Looking forward to seeing more of this little dude over the forthcoming weeks
