Dic a Dom

Hi all, I am currently fostering two brother's for the RSPCA and as all foster's know the RSPCA supply their own food. The thing is they supply Gerty Guinea and after reading the topic on here I don't know if this is a good idea? They do seem to like it and practically eat everything in the bowl as well as a supply of fresh veg. I feed my other 4 on wagg optimum. Should I stop using the Gerty? Any advice would be greatfully received.

I've never given mine Gerty - but I think it has colouring additives or something in it. I usually give mine P@H nuggets - though they will be gettting Burgess Excel shortly as this was on offer at P@H.

Mine have gerty guinea. They do tend to pick out the bits they like best. Have tried them on pellets but they wouldnt eat them! I make sure they get a wide variety of veg and they are very heathy.

Lots and lots of hay and dried grass is a good idea. They should be eating more of this fibrous material than the guineapig mix, whichever one you choose.
