I’ve written out a menu for the week which alternates in veggies and I just wondered if someone could check it and make sure it’s ok. There’s a forum on Facebook which I mentioned in an earlier thread and they said lettuce is bad for piggies and I’ve noticed today they’re telling people it should be fed as a treat or not at all. So I feel like I’m doing it wrong, veggies like radicchio and turnip greens we don’t have here in the supermarkets it’s all pretty much gem lettuce or romaine. So if someone could check this over let me know if there’s anything wrong, I roughly feed about 40-50g a day.
Monday - spinach, cucumber, coriander, pepper
Tuesday- romaine, pepper, celery
Wednesday- gem lettuce, cucumber, pepper, coriander
Thursday- romaine, pepper, celery
Friday- romaine, cucumber, pepper, coriander
Saturday- gem lettuce, pepper, coriander and dandelion forage or fresh dandelion
Sunday- gem lettuce, celery, pepper, small tomato or fruit if I have any in
Hope this is all ok anything wrong please let me know! X

That looks fine but lettuce is fine to be fed, it’s just low in nutrients. leafy veg forms the basis and really helps flush the bladder through. Mine get lettuce, pepper, cucumber and coriander daily. I’ll add other things in if I’ve got it but otherwise it’s just those for basics

Ok so I’m okay to feed lettuce daily and just alternate between the two romaine and gem? The forum really worried me on Facebook saying it causes problems and it’s really dangerous as I feed it to my piggies

Romaine and gem lettuce are both fine. My two used to squabble over who had the better lettuce leaf, lots of members feed both types to their pigs.
