Not necessarily as the gut has been used to them. I would however not recommend to feed too much too often and rather treat them as a higher calcium herb anyway.

I have never fed mine carrot tops:hmm: They do get carrot but very rarely and only in small amounts as it’s high in sugar.

What my girls love as ‘treats’ is a mixture of herbs (corriander, Parlsey, dill) but herbs like parsley and dill have a high percentage of calcium which is why I only give them as treats. However, corriander can be fed on a daily along with other high hit C veggies.

Another good treat is pea flakes! I do buy the organic ones. They can be looked at as controversial, but they are ‘treats’ and should only be fed a couple of days a week and 1-2 is enough per pig. However, bare in mind as they are ‘treats’ they can increase the piggies weight very quickly, but can be good to increase weight in underweight piggies. I used pea flakes to help increase the weight of my two unexpected babies. They were born very, very underweight compared to the normal pig and it did take me quite a few months to increase their weight because even after mother’s milk they still had more to go. But now you wouldn’t think they were so small! Six months down the line they are big! I will insert the before and after photos
