Food lightening her coat?

I am just wondering

Beavers fur has gotten a lot lighter since me having her, I adopted her from the pet shop a good few weeks ago now as she was being attacked by boys as she was thought to be one of the boys by the petshop but she isn't I know that now as she is pregnant.

I've been feeding her a much better diet, she was only on a grain mix before she came to me. Is it food that has made the color come out more? I'd be interested in knowing. I know she has gotten shinier and more glossy look to her so she is much healthier than when she first arrived.

her fur would be in a much better condition since having a better diet. think of us,if we lived on crisps, what would our skin and hair be like? then think of our skin and hair if we're on a balanced diet!

Also as they grow the coat 'matures' to the finished colour and as shes matures the coat gets to its final colour and yes good food and lots of tlc helps too x
