food substitute? (urgent!)

Out of piggy food until Wednesday! Any ideas of what to feed them for the meantime?
 
By piggy food do you mean pellets? or hay? Pellets shouldn't be too much of a problem as it's only a small part of the diet anyway just give more hay and continue with veggies for the vitamin C. If it's hay you have big problems as that is 80% of the diet. If it is hay is there no way you can get some?
 
can you not borrow money from family or friends to get them food.
 
Hay, grass, pellets and veggies are the four goods to feed them. Pellets, doesn't matter. However, if it's hay than five them loads of dead grass as a substitute. However, grass can wait if your having a storm like me in north!

80% of the daily food intake is hay. That is a must for any guinea pig; it can survive on just hay alone for several days.

I wouldn't panic if it's just pellets. Make sure they have unlimited access to hay and stick with their daily veggies, making sure that they are rich in Vitamin C. They will be fine until you can get some more.
 
Sorry to hear about it.

My Finn and Lara can eat herbs, veggies, hay, and fruit in small amount.
There are variety of things they can eat so it is just matter of finding one of those.
 
Make sure you always have lots of hay in for them. As has been said already, this is the most important. Measure out your pellets, rather than just pouring in a pile and then you should have plenty or warning when a bag is getting near empty. Try and have a spare bag in the cupboard for such occasions :)
