Hi I just wanted some advice about food for my piggie.

She is 5 1/2 years old, recently lost her cage mate and has kidney stones and an overian cysts, she is getting traatment from the vet for.

She has lost weight, we are trying to feed her critical care, but she hates it and is refusing to eat much else. What can we feed her to put some weight on?

Thanks Sally

Sorry to hear your girl is so unwell. You could try mixing some baby food in with the critical care. I found it made it easier to syringe and tastier for piggies. Oats are also good for putting on weight, or some I'm told, my girls would have none of it. Hope your girl gets better soon.

Thank you for your reply.

Baby food, that might be worth a try. As is the oats, is that porridge oats and would that be dry or mixed with water?

Thanks Sally

I tried porridge oats mixed with water because my girl wasnt eating solid food at the time but as I said no interest. Don't know how successful dry oats would be.

dry porridge oats are fine, if feed wet then they can go sour pretty quick.
