There's a riot in my spare room.
So I'm out for 24hrs or so from Wednesday night to Thursday. It's a timeframe I usually keep for my weekly shop delivery, so I was thinking I would have to do something for the Friday morning, right? Well I went downstairs to find the washing machine finally finished, after basically freaking itself out and getting hunt on the wash cycle with flashy lights everywhere, so I did the basic tech support stuff - dial back to zero, then over to Cotton wash, then set it for 30°, hit the start button, and hope the pump drain noises are going to stop after 5 minutes because, well, 5 minutes to drain a drum with no water in it is a bit dodgy yeah?
But it's fixed! Hallelujah! Take washing out to dry. It was goblin washing. Looks great.
Then opened the fridge for goblin meal and, uh, uh oh. The lettuce is rotten. Was it rotten this morning? But crap the lettuce is rotten and I've only got that and green beans. And now I've only got green beans.
So now, I'm leaving for London on Wednesday evening but the fridge will now be stocked with all the goblin goodies for a week and I get to hope nothing else spontaneously rots away in the fridge while I'm gone. And there's no point asking the goblins if they're grateful they've made me spend extra money earlier, because all they'll hear is "food".
