best place to buy food and stuff for your guinea pigs. i went to pets at home to get hay £4.95 for a pack went hardwear store £2.35 same . its so easy to buy every thing from same shop instead of shopping around where does every one esle buy theres

I go all over the place, 10 mile drive for megazorb, 5 miles for hay and guerty guinea pig food wherever I can get it although the little petshop near me has been selling it buy one get one free!

I often take a trip to P@H too (again another 10 mile drive).

^ so do i
there's a shop called- i think- kennelgate near me who stock big bags of hay (and i mean reeeaaal big) for around £3.
food i get from tesco, however i also buy readigrass from Just For Pets. chew sticks and other toys i buy from wherever, i just pick up stuff i think they'd like =]
fresh fruit and veg, you can't beat asda or aldi for cheap but good quality!

I drive for about 20 miles to get megazorb as way cheaper than carefresh (40 mile round trip) (got about 3 bales last time so hopefully is gonna be 3/4 months before each trip)

I drive to southport again another 20 miles for hay (it's 3.99 for 4kg and it is good stuff if you sort through bales (from the range) so that is another 40 mile round trip although my grandma lives there but whenever I decided to go I pop round and she's not in so no saving there! :)) But I can't imagine needing to go more than once every two months. Any toys and houses etc.. again I generally go to the range in southport as a lot cheaper but again miles away!

I get nuggets from p@h which is on my way home from work.

Fleece beds etc.. I always order off the internet and I also shop at wilkinsons which is about 3 miles from me for herbal and natural treats as they are way cheaper than pets at home.

I order all my shampoo creams etc.. from gorgous guineas on-line and I have bought other items from a local wholesaler and on e-bay so definately do not buy under one roof.

The example that shocked me the most about P@H prices is a tunnel thing I got from tesco a green plastic one suitable for rabbits / guineas it cost me £3 and at P@H I think it is around if not now over £10!

I also bought a toy which was wooden and fitted togetherwith holes for treats for £1.99 from range at southport and was selling for about £4 @ p@h.

Saying that the reduced items from the pink boutique section of p@h are really cheap and bought loads of chew toys, mineral things and houses!

I forgot to mention I go to aldi, lidl and morrisons all in one day usually, start in aldi and lidl get any cheap veg and anything they don't have I get from morrisons.

Writing it all down makes me think of the petrol but at the time it is like "I'm not paying those prices"

^ ohhh i love the pink boutique things!
i forgot about those cos last time i went to P@H was to pick up ruby back in december
i think i'll be taking a trip there at the weekend! :))

they have toy that hang down I have one which is like a bottle of champangne and they have shoes etc.. they are half price and really nice my piggies have recked them already. look out for the cocoon houses as last time I went they said 6.69 on shelf but stickers said 4.99 so they had to sell at that price. the mineral cupcakes go down well too and I also go the skewkers with pink wooden bits which I added mineral blocks and cupcakes to!

I get my nuggets from pets at home - Solihull
My hay from Melbicks garden centre North of Nec
My megazorb from the hungary horse a 20min drive away Warwickshire
and if I get anymore outdoor runs or indoor cages then they come from the range in coventry....

...the reason are :-

P@H nuggets are perfect as mine are picky feeders, and most pets shops only sell the museli
The hay is meadow hay and is more like hay rather then the dust P@H sell
Megazorb is from the cheapest and nearest horse supply place
and the range sell's cages the same size of Nero 4 for £35!
