hi
as you may know, my pansy had really bad bloat a while ago, and seems to have some more now. i am treating it, as i was told, it worked last time O0 so i'm not asking about that, i was jsut thinking, when it's better and she comes of th hay water and pellet diet, are there any foods i should avoid giving her, to decrease the risk of her getting bloat again?
thanks x O0

I was told a few years ago to avoid too much veg if the piggy is prone to bloat. Especially things like cabbage, spring greens, cauliflower and the like.

Good luck with her treatment O0

I dunno but aint bloat due to changing their diet without taking it slowly :-\

no, pansy has a kink in her gut, which gets easily blocked, so if she doesn't chew something or something like that, it gets blocked and all the food and gas bulids up, causing bloat, so the least gassy foods the better i guess O0

I think that sounds like a good idea from Black Jack. Sometimes I grate their carrot, just for a change, maybe try that too? Brassicas tend to be gassy so maybe less of those?

yeah, thanks, sometimes i grate things too, i normally put them in manageable sizes, but I'll keep an eye on it, we all get lazy sometimes! ::)
