I had to feed one of our chins critical care once...as we know the syringes we end up with are awful. I then found these. .. brilliant for critical care etc. http://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/feeding-syringe.html
Not at all Helen! I personally found them better but like you say for people not used to hand feeding they can do more harm than good. I spent a whole week and a half hand feeding our lil Choo so am used to doing this and swapped the syringe halfway through but yes it does come out quick if you are not used to them. This is what the forum is for to support, help, advise. I welcome anyone's opinion. I could find, like you say, that I may not get on with them for feeding my boys. (Hopefully that never happens) but yes, you're def not raining on my paradeI am sorry but these are not good for inexperienced hand feeders as it is difficult to control the amount going in and I have been told about a pig that died after choking from too much food going in. Basically his owner aspirated him. With a 1ml syringe you can control the exact dose. It may be different for other animals but for pigs I really would not recommend them. I started a thread on here a while back after the pig died with a warning. Hope you don't think I'm raining on your parade.
