I need to try and capture him on audio or video. He's is a very vocal pig, mutters about everything, he never shuts up most of the time! Yet when I get the video camera out he goes quiet. One day I will catch him out...
You should also know that this is a pig who would rather run around and play, than eat his veggies. Given a choice, he will ignore the food. I tell you, he is weird.
I got him from Wood Green Animal Shelter in Heydon on 29th October last year, so he is coming up to his 1 year anniversary here. The shelter said he was 4-6 years, possibly even older as he was very sedate and quiet. They almost had him PTS as he had some "mystery illness" and he had bad problems with impaction when he was first neutered there. He had been in rescue for a while I think, I forget how long, but he had a rough time health wise when he was there. That is partly what endeared me to him...offer me a healthy baby pig or an elderly or poorly one, I'll take the elderly or poorly one!
Even now, a year on, I can only assume that the shelter must have been talking about a different pig, given just how far out their character assessment was. He is not even remotely sedate, nor is he at all quiet. He is the noisiest and most playful of all my pigs, some of whom are still rather young!
