Hi Anna,

I can not reply to your pm as you haven't made enough posts so I am replying here instead.

Guinea pigs are pregnant for between 59 and 72 days so approximately 10 weeks.

After feeling babies kick for the first time, they should be born in approximately 3 weeks from that time.

:)

Thank you Claire W! She's largely pregnant, and the poor thing just seems uncomfortable....

I'm so nervous, and so excited... She seems to be very tired lately.. The poor thing. I got her pregnant, and it's a back to back pregnancy.

Aww poor thing :( How old is she? and do you have her living indoors or outdoors? If she is outdoors, please bring her in where you can keep a close eye on her. If you haven't done already, offer her some alfa hay as the calcium will do both her and her babies good. Make sure she has an unlimited supply of hay and nuggets. She is in the later stages of pregnancy now so try and keep handling to a minimum. Also and if you haven't already, make sure you have a good cavy savvy vet just in case there are any complications.

If you like, you can write a thread in our pregnancy and labour section so more experienced members can offer you some help and advice :) I haven't had a pregnant pig myself but many members have.

Hi!

Please open your own thread in our pregnancy section, which is specially monitored by experienced members. We would grateful if you gave us the background and timeline, so our advice can take the specific circumstances into account.

Claire has already given you the link to our information pack. Please read all links carefully; one of them is a detailed guide that should answer most of your questions.
