Junior Guinea Pig
Just come back from America and found that my Rory had passed on while I was away. My neighbor said that he was fine on Saturday, he was up at his cage bars and nibbling her fingers and he normally does, then Sunday morning he was gone. We don't know why he went to the rainbow bridge, maybe he had a quick stroke like another one of my piggies, maybe he was ill and I didn't realize or perhaps it was just his time. If he was in pain he won't be anymore. It's sad looking at this empty cage knowing there isn't going to be a pig nibbling at the bars to get my attention anymore. I think eventually I'm going to move my other pig, Truffle into his cage. It was bigger and Truffle has the smallest cage so he would enjoy the extra room and being able to see out the window. It might take a while, I don't want to feel like I'm replacing him.
This was his first photo, while he was in the adoption center at P@H because he didn't get along with the other groups of pigs. I didn't even know I would be bringing him home when I took this. His big ears and cute personality got to me and I snapped him up. I didn't even have a cage for him at the time! I knew I had space to make one, so I kept him in my room in a hamster cage for a few days until it was built. He was always very confident and friendly, he wasn't very afraid to be picked up and handled even from being quite young. He was a mummys boy for sure! I tried to mix him with each of my boys but neither wanted to be friends with each other! He was a bit of big bully but still very loving.
RIP Rory. Nibble and popcorn forever x
