That's really good that they've listened to your concerns.

Most companies don't care about the animals that much as long as they're getting a profit. So it was nice to read this thread knowing there are some decent ones still out there! :)

I posted this because not many people will go and give companies feedback about products, the problem is, as I keep saying, if you don't tell them that theres a problem with that food, they simply don't/won't know, so cannot correct it, the person replying thinks it's not a widespread problem, but really, it is, just people aren't telling them.

Oh noooooo! :evil:

I remember zoo plus chucked the bunny nuggets over our fence once, and it's quite a tall fence I will add so I was a bit annoyed!
 
That would be the crap courier they use, I bought a cage off of them for the mice and it came broken... so I called and they knocked the price down lol.
 
I make sure they shut the flaming gate, we have a please shut the gate sign on both the gate and letter box because we have a dog and don't want him to get hurt on the main road and they STILL manage to leave it open, I've complained 4 times to royal mail about it and moan at Yodel about it... flaming idiots, going to moan at Tesco next because they do it as well lol.
 
Great stuff.... Nice big bag of food ! I got a reply from Harringtons this morning, they spelt my name wrong for a start which ALWAYS bugs me !

Thank you for your feedback. We have recently changed the size of our food to a larger size nugget which does have a bit smoother finish than the food it replaces. We use exactly the same ingredients, just use a larger shape to form the pellets. (It is difficult to tell from the photo exactly how big the food is but the bottom one on your photo looks like the new food - it hasn't come out as left and right.) This improvement has been made due to customer feedback.

Can you let me know for bag of the smaller food:
1. Best before date
2. Batch no.(nine digit code near to best before date)
3. Where and when purchased
4. A sample - 3 to 4 handfuls should be sufficient in a plastic bag
5. Your address

This information is useful as it helps us to identify when the food was made. Please post this to:

So I will send it off as they requested and see what they say... They are defo different sizes...

Defintiely useful! I use harrington's and haven't had an issue so far, all my sacks have been standard size pellets (the small ones). I hope it gets you somewhere though! Are they covering the postage?
 
the bags i have are 2kg ones.. the pellets just look so much smaller ... it's a free post address so won't cost me anything.. I mean the bag was only £3 but i have not used anymore in case they do choke... there is a clear difference in size and the texture looks rougher.. will keep you updated !
 
Ah I see. I get the 10kg bags, they are small pellets but I haven't had any problems with them so far.
 
wow it says a 2kg bag is £13 on Amazon when i paid less than £4 ! Whats that all about !
