For those that don't feed pellets, how much forage and calcium veg do you feed?

Mine get a large pinch of forage daily and either two basil leaves or three parsley sprigs twice a week.

Does that sound good or should I give a little more since they aren't on pellets?

Thanks.

Pellets are a completely optional part of a piggy's diet, so I don't think you need to compensate for the lack of pellets by feeding other things.
I'm no expert though, I hope someone more knowledgeable can help.

What you are doing sounds fine - particularly if you are not noticing any calcium related issues. Without pellets there is more leeway in terms of higher calcium veggies but variations occur though so you need to find what works for you when it comes to the balance with drinking water etc.

Dried forage essentially comes into the same part of the diet that the pellets would take up.
The nutrients are still there, just in concentrated form so it also depends what forage items you feed (some being more suitable for daily than others).

I don’t feed pellets so I give a bit more than one cup of veg per day (being in the UK mine are also able to be out on grass all day in summer). I do feed high high calcium veggies without the concerns.
Mine do get some dried forage but I usually do that in winter when they can’t be on the grass.
