forgive my silly question

I think both sound too small to be honest :( I have 4 pigs in a c & c cage measuring 6 foot by 2.5 foot.

yes i was thinking maybe they were both to small, i will have a look around for a 6 foot hutch, i just though maybe the fact that a 4foot one over two levels might be a better idea

I made the mistake of getting a 4 x 2 double storey and it wasnt as big as I thought. I think one level is better ;)

I have three big piggies in a 5ft by 2ft hutch. I think I would have room for one more in there but that would be the maximum.

It is on one level with a good sized bedroom so that they can lie alone if they want to, or squeeze in with each other if they want a cuddle.

PS. It wasn't a silly question Sue 1974 ... it is always good is ask folks opinions and advice.

maybe i hould split them, i do have 2 other pair of castrated male/female but the females won't accept any other piggies! do you think a 6ft hutch would be big enough for 6?

I have two boys in a 4' double decker with a ramp and they love it. I have two girls in a 5' single decker. I feel the double decker gives them a lot more exercise, it seems like there is more space to run around in, and there are 4 'rooms' rather than just the two in the single decker.

I have to go for the double decker... I have 3 piggies who have just gone into a 3.5ft x (nearly)3ft dog crate with another level ... The second level is a whole floor with approx a 25cm x 25cm hole in the floor for the ramp... They are getting used to the ramp as the bold piggy leads them all up to the first floor where i am feeding them...
They were in a 4ft x 2ft cage before (too small anyway for one level and 3 piggies) and i was hesitant about going a foot smaller in width but i have much more room to put houses in different places and tunnels rather than having to get them on one floor... the piggies are quite liking it as well!
I dont have the room in my house for anything bigger and now they can actually have floor space now because i can let them out at anytime as the cage is on the floor...
