my adorable boar brothers went back to the RSPCA centre this morning. Having seen them born back on 11th March this was the hardest 'end of foster period' I have had so far. You know in your heart of hearts that these things are temporary, but it doesn't make it any easier! I am keeping my fingers crossed that they find a new adopter really soon, but at least I can see them when I go for my volunteering. They will have missed their 5pm veggies tonight, which they got with me :(, and I shall miss their mischievous faces every morning, wheeking full volume as I came down the stairs. If only I had a bigger house, and wasn't half-crippled with fibromyalgia, and had enough money, I could keep some piggies permanently! Never mind, fostering ensures they had a good start in life and are happy and healthy. Good luck boys:).

Aw no! That is clearly so hard for you,
But you have given them a brilliant start. You should be proud. x

Thank you for fostering and giving piggies a good start in life. It's a lovely thing to do.

I'm sorry you are sad, but fostering is a wonderful thing to do. Will more foster pigs come to live with you soon?

You're doing a wonderful thing, hard on the heart though it is xx

I am having an enforced foster break just now. I am taking in a friend's dog for three weeks in June while they go on holiday. She is a young, rather big and bouncy dog and I won't have space for her AND piggy cage in our little house! If we have an intake of piggies at the centre in July then I probably will be back to foster duties. The centre requested the return of the boars yesterday as the single male up there needed company. Nobody seems to want to boar date poor lonely Connah:(, who is such a lovely chap and found abandoned under a hedge.image.webp
