Hi all! Right now I am fostering a peruvian for a friend until we can find a good home for her. I just got her today and while I was giving her a health check I found she has almost dead skin or little bumps in her ears. I tried to get some good photos, but it's really hard. Does anyone know what this is? @Wiebke IMG_0017.webpIMG_0018.webp

Its really nice that you are fostering this piggy. I would take her to the vet for a general health check just to make sure she is OK.

I would have that checked; it could be just a build-up of hard wax (which is always skin coloured, so black piggies have black wax). However, the wax may be also deeper in the ear channel, in which case it could cause problems with a head tilt in the longer term and attract parasites.

If it was a fungus, could my other pigs get it?
