found dehumidifiers

I found Dehumidifiers in the pound shop. I grabbed two 1 for the shed and one for my bedroom two places where mould tends to grow. affraid So when I got home I put one stright in the shed. Then I red the packet and it said do not put in the bedroom. I asked Ant Why? He told me the gel that is created when the humidity hits it is can be known to be poisonous so I quickly got it back out of the shed. Is this right has anyone got them in their shed? scratch
