Found In A Bag Of Hay

Just wanted to share this, not naming names, but found this in a bag of hay.

Emailed the company, see what they say, but anyone know what it is? Looks like part of a leather bag to me.

Weird. Maybe something someone has dropped in the field or something and it's got mixed up in the hay when it got cut. I remember when I had my first guinea pig about 19 years ago when i was about 16 I found a dead mouse half way through a bag of hay, :woot:needless to say the rest of the bag went in The bin. Lol. And yes I did scream LOUDLY. Lol. You will need to let us know what they say. Here's hoping you get a nice voucher or something.
 
Well the company asked me to send it back, which I did. A free bag of hay has been promised if required, we'll see that they say!
 
weird! maybe its a bit of a horse bridal or dog collar thats fallen off/been pulled off. defo looks like a piece of leather to me.
 
Got a cheque for £3 and a sorry letter, fair enough! ;)
 
I've been around horses all my life and the things we have found in hay! Sometimes it just can't be helped because of the bailing process, especially if the hay field has a footpath through it. At least you got something back though, that always helps! :)
 
Unfortunately hay is a natural product and just about anything can get in it and get through the baling process. I have had or heard of crisp packets, stones, dead rodents, usb leads (that was us I was very confused!) etc.
