HI I have just found what looks like white diarrhoea? at the bottom of the cage. I have two female guinea its that are about 11 months old. They have been outside on the grass in the day now for about 2 1/2 months. I also give them a small plate of mixed veggies int he morning and eve Not sure which of the girls it is? they both share a cage. Do I need to take them to the vets or cut back on veggies / grass for a bit? Other than that they are looking fine. Advise would be gratefully received thanks.

Hi didn't want to read and run... Was it round a poo? If so it sounds like mucas which could indicate gut motility issues.... Is everyone pooing okay?

How are things now? I agree it could be gut motility issues if the poos are mucousy. Do they feel bloated at all?

If they have diarrhoea you will need to cut out any veg and grass and keep them on hay and pellets only for a few days.

Dioralyte is also good if they have diarrhoea, and also if they are gassy. Feed by syringe throughout the day.

A vet check is needed for a proper diagnosis though.

Just looked up chalky pee and I think thats maybe what it is and from sounds of other posts its normal. Reassuring thanks guys :-)
